TFI Friday | Lighting by Factorylux

Factorylux is providing all the decorative lighting for the new TFI Friday set. The TFI production and art directors - Markus Blee and Paul Drake - came on an undercover visit to our Yorkshire HQ three weeks before the show started to look at the range of colours and finishes and to experiment with the conduit range. Their lighting design for the TFI set features pendants specified using the ground-breaking Made For You configurator and products built from the Factorylux conduit range. Timescales were tight, but our vertically integrated UK production facilities mean we can provide an incredibly quick service to everyone. Orders for bespoke pendant lights made before 11am are dispatched for next day delivery. The schedule was:

Friday 2 October - lighting spec received from the TFI Friday team in the afternoon
Monday 5 October - lights made, tested and packed ready for dispatch
Tuesday 6 October - TFI team confirmed lighting required on set
Wednesday 7 October - lighting delivered to set in central London

TFI runs for 10 episodes until December 2015. When the run ends, the set - at the old Central St Martins theatre building in Holborn - will be broken down and the lighting returned to us. In-house testing on the two new wall lights - featuring the industrial lantern and the Coolicon swan neck - is complete and they'll be available soon.
