A Man Named Zero was a light installation and live performance created by Nocte Studio and director Laura Farnworth. Music was by Amon Tobin the renowned Brazilian musician and composer. The installation featured Factorylux ceramic lamp holders.
The acclaimed performance was staged at the Total Refreshment Centre in London in October 2013. Nocte's description of the work is 'The installation, built with 60 suspended tungsten light bulbs and accompanied by a live performance and DJ-set, tells the story of one man's rite of passage as he breaks out of his mental and physical hibernation into discovering himself and his own mind.'
Nocte are renowned for engaging audiences by using lighting, visuals and software to make installations which are responsive and interactive. A Man Named Zero was their most ambitious work to date. It used some classic lighting products from the Factorylux modular range including red braided fabric cable, ceramic lamp holders and loop filament incandescent light bulbs.
The Factorylux ceramic lamp holders come in three varieties: cord grip for pendant lights suspended using the supply cable, hooked for pendant lights suspended using light chain of hooking over a fixture, or threaded entry for use with conduit installations or similar. In addition to being available as components, the ceramic lamp holders can be configured as ceiling pendant lights and simple plug-in lights using the Made For You configurators.
