The Billycan is run by Gaynor and Leighton Jones whose previous successes in the hospitality industry includes their chip shop – A Fish Called Rhondda – in Ton Petre. The Billycan is a former British Legion Club and named after the war-time practice of putting billycans on the stove and congregating around for a drink.

The decor in the has a simple stylish aesthetic. The use of pale wood gives a nautical flavour – allusions to boats and driftwood. The lighting over the bar comes from five Factorylux galvanised industrial light shades arranged in an L-shape. The shade are fitted with matching galvanised lighting chain and galvanised hooked lighting pattresses.

The lighting over the bar/restaurant chairs, tables and benches comes from the same 360mm diameter industrial light shades, but in white vitreous enamel rather than galvanised.

All the Factorylux industrial shades area available ‘shade-only‘, or as complete enamel pendant lights (choose from six genuine vitreous enamel colours) and metallic pendant lights (six metallics including solid copper, verdigris and galvanised).

The online configurators allow you to choose from hundreds of components in the Factorylux range and, when you’re happy with the design, the pendant light is built by hand at our production HQ in Yorkshire and individually tested and certified to BS EN 60598.
