The Aboreal is a restaurant at Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan, west of Cardiff. The restaurant features a range of Factorylux lighting, including white lamp shades over 'the pass' from kitchen to dining room. 
Arboreal opened with a commitment to fresh, seasonal and honest food and an interesting and comfortable environment using a mix of old, new, bespoke and recycled products. The restaurant is hugely successful with excellent reviews from food-bloggers and on TripAdvisor. The pass between the kitchen and the dining area is lit by a row of three 360mm industrial lamp shades in white enamel. The shades are equipped with fixtures and fittings from the Factorylux modular collection including: ceiling roses, lighting cable, lighting chain and bulb holders. The shades are hung low to maximise the amount of light on the dishes as they are passed from the kitchen to the waiting staff. All the Factorylux shades are made entirely in the UK for exceptional quality and finish. 
A range of Factorylux lighting products are used elsewhere in the restaurant including the classic Maria wall lights in the dining area and simple pendant lights over the bar area. Both the simple 'bare-bulb' pendants and pendants with shades can be configured using the Factorylux Made For You bespoke lighting service. Start your design by choosing a size of shade or 'Simple Pendant - No Shade' for a pendant without shade. When you're happy with the design, place your order and the pendant is built, tested and certified to BS EN 60598 and dispatched within 24 hours. All the pendant lights ship for safe and simple installation with fitting instructions, wiring diagrams and all necessary fixing and connectors.
