Multi Outlet Ceiling Roses | South East London Home
Owen Gale is the picture editor for House & Garden and blogs about the project to convert the loft of his Edwardian home in south east London when he found out he was expecting his first child. The project involved major work on the loft to create two new rooms and a separate bathroom. Owen's music studio was relocated from the first floor to a new room in the attic and the family now have a room for their new arrival and a spare bedroom in the attic. white multiple outlet ceiling roses in the loft conversion To makes the room feel light and spacious, Owen opted for Farrow & Ball's All White for the tongue and groove on the walls and the plastered ceilings. The lighting comes from simple bare bulb pendant lights all wired using Factorylux White Multi Outlet Ceiling Roses. The Multi Outlets are useful where it's difficult to chase wiring into walls or ceilings or where flexibility is required in relation to positioning the lighting. When you've got power to the Multi Outlet, the length and location of the pendants can be adjusted without needing to re-wire. A task light above a desk can be moved temporarily in an evening to create mood lighting, or moved permanently if the home office needs to become an extra bedroom. Owen chose cream twisted fabric cable for his light fittings and the antique bronze standard screw (E27 or ES) lamp holders. The cable is secured by ceramic cable holder and the light fittings hung by cleat hooks from eBay.
